“When I decided to become a cinematographer a few years ago, I messaged a DOP I had heard of in LA. I asked him for his advice for what I needed to do to shoot films one day. He told me to pick up a camera and become a photographer first….to train my eyes through still images and only then could I learn to add movement to them. I took his advice to heart and started to wander every place I could find any beauty in. These are some of my favourite shots from that time, when I asked every moment and every friend to stay still.”
Shot on digital and film cameras across many places.
Some were impromptu catches and some are highly premeditated.
Some are pictures of loved ones, some are strangers I’ll never see again.
And some are just coz I was bored sitting in the car.
The world is a blur, then you find love. When you lose that love, does the world blur again?
